This is a simple photowalk. Its for those members who wish to come for a pleasant walk outside with camera in hand and do some socialising with people of like mind and interest.

There's no structured learning but I'm on hand if you wish to ask any questions - always happy to talk/explain photography as long as its not camera specific :)

West Wittering is a pleasant place to be, and photogenic at low water. Low water is at 13.00 and the event straddles this time. We'll take a walk anticlockwise around east head, walking alongside the dunes and the flat inner harbour, across the top of the head and then head home down the beach side. Its around a 2km walk and will take around 2-3 hours

The main path/beach is flat all the way around, but if you want to use the boardwalks for leading lines images or general photographs of the dunes, you may want to wear walking boots or wellies - or be happy with sand which gets, well, everywhere. If your approach to photography is a little more, um, enthusiastic, then wellies are required.

We'll meet at the end of the car park at 11.30. Im not sure of parking charges which increase on the weekend but budget for around £4 ish

The Postcode for the area is a general one - PO20 8AJ will get you to Pound Road off the B2179. Once you have turned into Pound Road the entrance to the West Wittering Estate is on your left after fifty metres. Follow the road right down to the coast where you will pay your parking fees. At that time of day you wont need a mortgage. Go through the barriers and go as far as you can and park up ready for a start time of 11.30

Just about the only reason to cancel the event is if there is a reasonable chance of rain. I will get a very good idea two-three days ahead of the event and cancel, if appropriate, at that point. If I cancel I will offer refunds :)

Bring walking boots or wellies. The walk is along hard beach but there are areas, especially off piste, which have lots of fine sand. Wearing anything other than wellies or walking boots will drive you crackers as the sand will get everywhere. Make sure you have warm clothing!

My phone number in case you get lost (it has already happened!) is[masked].
