“A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest.” ― C.S. Lewis (http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/1069006.C_S_Lewis)
In October, we are going to bring back our youth by discussing tons of classic children's books that might have influenced us as a person when we were growing up.
Expect to hear reviews on books like "Lemony Snicket: Who Could That Be at This Hour?" (written by Daniel Handler), "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" written by L. Frank Baum and illustrated by W. W. Denslow, the memorable "Arabian Nights: Tales of 1,001 Nights" written by anonymous writers, the classic "Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince)" written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, "Matilda" by Road Dahl, "Amelia's Boy Survival Guide" by Marissa Moss, and many more (to be updated).

The fact is, the list could go on because we're all so excited to talk about these books! So, join us and bring your fave children's book. Indonesian books are very much welcome as well. We can chat and have lunch together, then swap books at the end of the event.
NOTE: This is a FREE event and each of us will pay for our own food and drinks. Hyde Kemang (http://foodliberator.blogspot.co.id/2014/03/hyde-kemang.html) is a public restaurant, so please be mindful of your surroundings. We provide a donation box if you would like to chip in for our snacks and drinks for the next meetup (Rp 10,000 or more). Just let one of our officers, Ollie or Dina, knows!
AGENDA OF EVENT:
• book reviews & discussion
• book swap (bring your old book and expect to bring home a "new" one)
• special: Introducing Ubud Writers & Readers Festival (http://www.ubudwritersfestival.com/)
