“Your body is not a temple, it's an amusement park. Enjoy the ride.” ― Anthony Bourdain

Yaass! After being refreshed by fun mingling and lots of munching throughout the holiday, it's time to talk about something we all can't resist: food! Based on last month's majority votes, we will discuss some works that are focusing on journey around food, eating "rituals", and few remarkable people who dwell in the food industry. Nom nom nom...

Expect to hear review on books like "Aruna & Lidahnya (Aruna and Her Palate)", a fiction novel written by Laksmi Pamuntjak (you can read the prologue here (http://laksmipamuntjak.com/books/aruna-dan-lidahnya-2)), "100 Million Years of Food: What Our Ancestors Ate and Why It Matters Today" written by Stephen Le, "Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly" written by Anthony Bourdain, "My Life in France" written by Alex Prud'homme and Julia Child, "Eating Animals" written by Jonathan Safran Foer, "Salt" written by Mark Kurlansky, "Hallelujah! The Welcome Table: A Lifetime of Memories with Recipes" written by Maya Angelou, "Peace Meals: Candy-Wrapped Kalashnikovs and Other War Stories" written by Anna Badkhen, and more (to be updated).

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a FREE event, but each of us will pay for our own food and drinks. Workroom Coffee (https://www.instagram.com/workroomcoffee/) is a coffee shop that also serves as a collaboration space, so please be mindful of your surroundings. The place is situated in the historical area of Cikini, which enables us to have a little culinary stroll right after the meetup. Coming early to the meetup is advisable, because we have a limited capacity.
