What we’re about
Silence. Sound. Light and Dark. Shiva, Shakti, Krishna, Tara, personal and planetary changes, moving through a pandemic. Gratitude for the events of the past and all of your participation, for Nick holding events while I have been attending to responsibilities in my life. Looking forward to new incarnations and new expressions of chanting, music, meditation. Take care of yourself and each other, Namaste.
K – Kirtan stimulates & illuminates all souls. Hanuman Kirtana embraces all lineages and is not specific to any spiritual path, religion, teaching, guru, or deity. All are honored! Our focus is on the rich devotional musical heritage of India. We will sing spiritual and devotional music from all traditions.
I – Inner work is facilitated by chanting the names of the gods and goddesses and resting in silence.
R – Regular weekly kirtans are the goal: informal, high energy, interactive chanting evenings elevate us to a level of community consciousness.
T – Training is unnecessary. We all learn as we go, & we share as we learn.
A – Awakening the spirit takes time. If this is your first kirtan, be welcomed.
N – Nobody will be turned away. We embrace all participants and deeply encourage them to participate on a level where they find comfort. Dance, sing, chant the mantras, or just listen.
Let’s join our voices and share the heartfelt vibrations of kirtan.
Please feel welcome to contact Forrest regarding posting kirtan and spiritual music events.
