What we’re about
Happy Writing exists to celebrate the unique power of all authors, writers, and word creators. We uplift, support, educate, and empower global communities through peer mentorship and peer-curated events.
Happy Writing Co helps build better stories and stronger authorpreneurs through guided classes, networking, camaraderie, and group writing.
We offer a mixture of writing sessions, reading/critiquing events, and classes.
Events take place online, in coffee shops, on train trips, during historical walks, in museums, and we're always open to anything new our members suggest!
Our meetings are open to writers of all genres. Come work on your novels, blogs, short stories, memoirs, PhD thesis, or copy for your website.
We have five standing meetings per week. Other social events and inspiration trips will be random (and full of writerly fun).

OnlineAre you looking to increase your productivity? Do you want to write more words with like-minded, encouraging, positive authors?
Join us for a write-in! Our write-ins run every Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM CET to 12:00 AM CET hosted alternately by Brenda Arnold and Nutan Jäger.
Here’s an example of how the session might run. Depending on how many people attend, the timing might be slightly different. If you arrive into the room and mics/cameras are off, that means we are already writing. We will greet you on the break in person, but your host will send a welcome message to the chat with a link to the timer.

Afternoon Write-In: In Person (northern edition)
H2 Hotel München Olympiapark, Moosacher Str. 82, München, BY, DEA writing session for afternoon sparrows.
On Monday and Wednesday afternoons, we'll meet at the quiet H2Hotel Cafe just outside the Oberwiesenfeld U-Bahn stop.
We'll meet at 1pm.
Heads down writing time starts about 1:20 and goes for an hour.
We can socialize and get more to drink, then we'll do another hour of writing starting around 2:50.Bring whatever project you are working on. We will write together for productivity and accountability, but we all work on our own different things.
The cafe has wi-fi, power outlets, and plenty of quiet working space. There is a counter where you can order drinks and snacks.
This is a great session for folks coming from outside of Munich (especially from the north), as it has easy connections to the S-bahn (via the S1 thru Moosach) and an inexpensive parking lot across the street. It's also convenient to those coming from downtown via the U3.
If coming by train, take the U3 to Oberwiesenfeld, and use Exit D. The hotel will be right at the top of the stairs. If driving, there is a park-and-ride across the street. (Fancy picture directions: https://imgur.com/a/Iei0dIl)
Go in the front door and turn left past reception. The cafe will be just ahead. It's a big space, and we don't always sit in the same place, but it's not usually crowded, so we should be easy to find. Look for the Happy Writing placard on the table!
