Tentative Schedule of Events: FRIDAY: 3:00 pm - Event Begins. 4:00 pm - Kiser Lake State Nature Preserve Wetlands Hike. This is an easy, 1.5 mile hike, to explore the unique remantns of Ohio's last glacial period. The wetlands at Kiser are in the form of fen and wet meadow habitat. These areas were formed when blocks of ice broke away from the glacier and became covered by sand and gravel. As the climate warmed, the ice melted and left a depression filled with water surrounded by glacial deposits. These areas are filled with many intriguing plants including pitcher plant, sundew, tamarack and spruce. 7:00 pm - Sunset Paddle. Bring your kayak or canoe and enjoy an evening paddle trip on Kiser Lake. Be in the water by 7:15 pm. Sunset is at 7:35 pm and the boat launch is only a half mile away. Ample parking is available at the boat launch. Ohio DNR requires your vessel to display an electric white light that gives sufficient light to be seen by other boats in time to prevent a collision. A battery-operated waterproof lantern will suffice. Decorate your kayak with lights! Mine will be decorated with pumpkin lights. At night this will look neat. Life jackets are required. Afterwards - Campfire, star gazing and relaxing. SATURDAY: 7:30 am - Pancake Breakfast. Fill your tummy with yummy pancakes and real maple syrup. Get energized for a full day of adventure. Look for other breakfast food to be served as the menu firms up. Coffee on the house! Hosted by (volunteer needed). 9:00 am - North Bay Trail Hike. Lace up your boots and let's go for a 3 mile moderate pace hike. We'll start at the marina and follow the north shore to the picnic area. After a short break we'll turn around and retrace our steps back to our cars. 1:00 pm - Loop The Lake Bike Ride. Bring your bicycle and join us for a 14 mile bike ride on back roads. Our route will take us past Kiser Lake in rural farm area as we circle the lake. We'll travel at a pace of 10-14 mph and take a couple of breaks along the way. The bike ride starts and ends from our camping location and is entirely on paved roads. 4:00 pm - Wine Tasting. Join us for a complimentary wine tasting. You'll enjoy this whether you are an established wine lover or a novice. We will serve a variety of wines. You are sure to taste one you like! 5:00 pm - Cookout & Potluck. What we're about

We are into nature walks, hiking, cycling, kayaking, backpacking or just share a love the outdoors. Add to your outdoor experience with a campfire, tent, and friends. You do not need a tent to participate. It is all about the outdoor fellowship experience. Most of our events are in the local state parks. It is all about the campfire. A lot of our members just come to the potluck and campfire then go home.
