What we're about
WELCOME TO HARDWARE MEETUP AKL!
Due to the overwhelming popularity of our events, we're releasing tickets to our main database first and foremost. If you're interested in coming along to future events, we highly recommend signing up to our main database (http://hardwaremeetup.us14.list-manage2.com/subscribe?u=9b9df6edfe4a02d8690a289d3&id=36150f5ce9) so you get notified of ticket releases first
We believe engineers, product developers and garage tinkerers in New Zealand are building world-leading physical products.
In response, Hardware Meetup AKL (http://hardwaremeetup.co.nz/) is bringing together some of New Zealand's brightest engineers, hardware entrepreneurs, product designers and enthusiasts to meet each other and celebrate our achievements.
Our bi-monthly events, held at Auckland's innovation hub GridAKL, are showcasing some of New Zealand's most exciting products and founders. We aim to create an environment for open conversations, opportunities, and shared resources. Events are themed (HealthTech, Aerospace, AgTech etc), and include a combination of guest speakers, product demos, and one-minute pitches from audience members.
Blender Design (https://www.blender.nz/)- product development and design agency
StretchSense (https://www.stretchsense.com/) - world-leading wearable sensor development
WNT Ventures (https://wntventures.co.nz/) - technology incubator actively investing in Kiwi hardware companies

DIVERSITY POLICY AND CODE OF CONDUCT:
As of June 2017, we're trialing a diversity policy (http://hardwaremeetup.co.nz/diversity). 50% of our tickets will be available to people who identify as women, non-binary folks, and people who would prefer not to name their gender, and 50% to people who identify as men.
We are also committed to providing a safe environment for attendees, so we'd love for you to take a look at our Code of Conduct (http://hardwaremeetup.co.nz/code-of-conduct).
