Inaugural Hardware Meetup - Gold Coast

Please come join us for our inaugural Hardware Meetup for the GoldCoast. This month we are kindly being hosted at the Gold Coast Techspace in Mudgeeraba.
The aim is to keep things simple for this event:
7:00: Welcome, snacks, refreshments
7:30: Jon Sawdon Smith: Intro from Jon and a brief review of his background working in Hardware development, startups and accelerators throughout the UK (and California), and reasons for starting this meetup.

7:40: Short overview of the hardware scene in the UK and other locations, and opportunities in the Gold Coast
7:50: Discussion, what would we like this meetup to be, what can it be, what would people like to see and do.
8:15: More drinks, snacks, informal networking, socilaising!
9:00: End of event
As we said, this event will be very low key and more about introductions, meeting people, socialising and working out where we are going to take it.
Future events we hope to have more dedicated speakers and subjects. The events will also be mobile and will be hosted across several locations, changing from month to month.
