What we're about

The Sifer with Likwuidity
NYC's Hip Hop & Spoken Word Jam
Motto: Different Voices, Shared Humanity
Mission: To use live hip hop fusion music to bring cultures closer together

The Sifer uses live hip hop fusion music as a way to bring cultures closer together. We encourage inner peace through self expression and encourage universal love for mankind though sharing our differences.

If you write, play an instrument, rhyme, freestyle, paint, produce body performance art or if you just enjoy being around good old-fashioned creative folks, come be a part of our jam session! Each month is free with your RSVP. Bring your instrument, bring your lyrics and rock on! Calling Harlem, WaHi, Inwood and the Bronx, although our jam is currently in Harlem, we still encourage all uptown lovhers to participate! WHY? Upper Manhattan is an oasis of creativity and artistic expression....It's Nina Simone meets Nas, it's Flying Lotus meets Roy Ayers, it's Prince meets J Dilla. Every month The Shrine's Hip Hop & Spoken Word Open Mic Jam Session will present live musicians, emcees, singers and spoken word artist backed by a live hip hop jam band. Feel the musical spirit of uptown that you probably believed only existed downtown. Our mission is to allow positive creative energy to flow!

We will also be sharing other cool events uptown that have live music or good music. If we think that you will like it, we will invite you. Come out and hang with the gang!
