What we're about

This is a group for anyone who would like to know Harrow's 9 nature reserves (http://www.harrowncf.org/) better. We have regular guided walks and meetups as well as weekly working parties where you can get better acquianted with everything about the nature reserves by actively helping to manage the space. Our wardens which lead the groups are experts in their areas. All tools provided - Come join us! The fresh air and exercise are completly free and there is never a dull moment. Always something new to see and learn. You'll never believe how beautiful the nature reserves are till you get up close and personal.

The Wednesday Workout

Stanmore Common

This is our regular Wednesday Meetup. We always meet in the Stanmore Common carpark off Warren Lane. From there you could be transported to any Harrow Nature Reserve. We take out the vegetation that's not supposed to be there and encourage the plants that should. We stop for wildlife, wildflowers, photo opportunities and any other distraction! Directions? The number 142 bus runs along the A4140 “The Common” while the junction of the A4140 “The Common” and the A409 Common Road is served by the 258 bus. Thecar park is located at map reference TQ[masked]). Alternatively a pleasant and largely road-free route leads from Stanmore Common through Stanmore Country Park to Stanmore Jubilee Line station. You don't have to stay the whole time and if you are going to be late contact us and we can tell you where we are today....See you there!

Do community gardening/conservation - new time!

Newton Farm Ecology Park

The park is small enough that even small improvements make a big difference. Come see for yourself and help improve a lovely little nature reserve. If you arrive late walk down the main path from either the Rayners Lane entrance or the Alexandra Avenue entrance and you are sure to see signs of us!
