Attorney Katie McKerall from the Appignani Humanist Legal Center (the legal arm of the American Humanist Association) joins us to discuss the important work they do defending the rights of Humanists and strengthening the wall of separation between state and church.

Katie McKerall is a Staff Attorney American Humanist Association's legal arm. Prior to joining AHA she worked as the Staff Attorney for the Commissioner of Accounts in Fairfax, Virginia and as a grant writer for Rappahannock Goodwill Industries in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Originally from Gulf Shores, Alabama, Katie is passionate about protecting and fostering a free and open society through the First Amendment and worked in the Free Speech Clinic while attending law school at George Mason University. Katie also holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of South Alabama.

As always, we will open the Zoom at 6:30pm to give folks time to join and to catch up with one another before the official meeting begins at 7:00pm.
