Paul Madsen
Technical Architect, Swirlds
Paul Madsen is a Technical Architect at Swirlds, the developer of the hashgraph consensus algorithm. Madsen has participated in various design, chairing, editing and education roles for a number of identity standards, including OASIS SAML, OAuth 2.0 and FIDO Alliance. He holds an MS in applied mathematics and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Carleton University and the University of Western Ontario, respectively.

Tim McHale
Lead Developer Advocate, Swirlds
Tim McHale is a Lead Developer Advocate for Swirlds and is located in Madrid, Spain. He has over 20 years working in the software industry, specialising in Telecommunications with forays into Defence and Cybersecurity. McHale is a skilled software engineer and architect and is driven to evangelise leading-edge technology, having deep knowledge of Cloud computing, SDN and NfV. Occasional insight has branded him as visionary, although he puts this largely down to luck.
