The Future of Distributed Ledger Technologies

Details

Hashgraph a fundamentally new type of distributed ledger technology / consensus algorithm invented by Leemon Baird. It is a technology that provides an alternative to, and solves all the current performance and security constraints of, the blockchain. This means that Hashgraph is:

(1) Fast. With very high throughput that is limited only by bandwidth, the typical home broadband connection could process all the transactions of the global Visa card network with seconds of consensus latency. Tests have shown pre-sharding speeds of 300,000+ transactions per second;

(2) Fair. Unlike competing platforms, no individual can manipulate the ordering of transactions or prevent transactions from entering the network. There is also mathematically proven fair consensus timestamping on each transaction; and

(3) Secure. Hashgraph achieves the highest standard in enterprise-grade security with asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) and mathematical proofs that entire categories of security vulnerabilities are impossible. It is the only bank-grade consensus algorithm.

These properties enable a much broader range of use cases and applications, such as
(1) distributed capital markets,
(2) a global cryptocurrency with native micropayments,
(3) improved collaboration apps,
(4) distributed global gaming (e.g. distributed MMOs, such as World of Warcraft), and
(5) auctions and markets.

The Hashgraph represents a generational leap in distributed ledger technology that current market competitors (including blockchain) cannot practically achieve. It has major implications for both private and public distributed ledger technology use cases including in the fields of cryptocurrency and distributed applications.

Come and learn more about this disruptive technology that will revolutionize the way we look at distributed ledger technology.
