September Meetup: Hands-on Servant

Galois will be providing food and drinks at 6:30pm. Talk will start at 7:00pm.

Greg Hale will run a session on practical use of the servant web framework API library. Together we will create a basic web API with servant. Along the way we will look at some peripheral tooling - Dhall for configuration, nix for packaging and ghcid for friendlier development. Based on the questions that come up and the difficulties we run into, we will gather resources for further reading.

We are starting up the Haskell DC meetup again and plan to hold talks on the third Wednesday of every month. We need speakers! If you're interested in giving a talk, please reach out! Ideas for potential talks include overviews of personal projects, experiences using Haskell in production, tutorials on profiling Haskell code, lessons on tools and packages, or whatever you find interesting.
