Details
The Glasgow Haskell Compiler is a core piece in every Haskeller's toolbox, and an impressive piece of software. Gaining insight into its internals is a great way to better understand the language.
In this session we will walk through the GHC newcomers guide and get up to speed on GHC hacking from a beginner's perspective.
We will see how to build GHC on your own machine, give an overview over the code base, and explain how you can participate and contribute to GHC.
This year's ZuriHac will feature a GHC DevOps track with the goal to foster more contributions. If we have whet your appetite, come and join the track.
