What we're about

We meet EVERY week, at the Hastings Public Library. 6:30 to 8:30. (MONDAYS...holidays though the Library often is closed or closes early...)

If you ever use to play chess and enjoyed it win or lose, then please join us. Bring a board, pieces, and a friendly attitude. Email us at chessathastingslibrary@gmail.com

Not the most original name... but the Hudson Fish was taken.

Its been a nice meetup for 2 years now... usually 5 people show up.... as few as 3 of course, and once we had 12 people at once.... Hope you can make it over to the library and see if it is a nice fit for your chess habit.... -Jeremy

Upcoming events (5+)

MONDAYS... 6:30pm, in the back corner or the Hastings Library on Spring St...

Great. Thanks for finding us. We play every Monday. No need to ask if there will be games this Monday... If the library is open (closed on major Holidays) then there are people gathering and playing. Some play blitz, 5 minute. Some play speed 10 minute. And if you ask, someone will probably play you without a clock too... Its not a quiet, silent, tournament style club... FEEL FREE to come and watch, and talk, and ask questions... Hopefully, you can join us on a Monday night soon.... Bring a board if you have one... see you soon, Jeremy (Its been between 4 and 9 people most nights, over the last 6 months... drawing from a group of 12 different people.... mostly adults, plus 2 high schoolers, and one 7th grader... open to anyone who can play...)
