What we're about

We set up Hawke's Bay Friendship Group because we believe that there is a strong need for newbies in the Bay to mix mingle and get around as well as long term residents who also long for friendship and new adventures.

It is a way of introducing new people into the area but our events are at all times open to anyone young old , newbie or born and bred local. The only criteria you require to belong is to be Human and want to socialise.

The simple answer is EVERYTHING !

The friendship group organises a wide variety of meetups throughout the year in and around the Hawkes Bay region. Events include pub quizzes, fortnightly walking and cafe groups, lunches, winery festivals, mini golf, tenpin bowling, skiing, cinema outings, weekends away and trips to farmers markets to name but a few ! The group works by members suggesting activities they would like to do and subject to interest, we run them and encourage your involvement.

Anyone can make suggestions for activities as long as the the idea has been generated by the member themselves and not "taken" from another site / group. Activities organised (and their frequency) are entirely up to the members, so please feel free to submit as many ideas and suggestions as you want. Likewise members choose to attend as many (or few) meetups as they wish depending on personal taste / other commitments etc.

So in summary, if you don't like going out on your own, are new to the area, or a work-a-holic and never get out to meet and greet or perhaps shy and find making new friends hard, or just simply looking to meet new people, then this group will be ideal for you. However, once you join the group be prepared for a very full social calendar (if that is what you want of course)!

On behalf of the team of Hawkes Bay friendship Group, we look forward to seeing you at our next meetup soon!

Beginners Tarot Workshop

49a Mission Rd

This Workshop is designed for beginners or those with a smattering of knowledge. We will look at the meanings of all 78 cards, practice card layouts and how to approach questions. Each student will receive detailed notes. The course is designed to use the Rider Waite Tarot cards because the imagery on all the cards is a helpful tool for beginners, however students are welcome to use whatever Tarot cards they wish. I am happy to order some Rider Waite cards on your behalf. This is a chargeable event. Light refreshments will be provided. Please contact me with any queries and I will email full details on the course and charges to you.
