Yang 24 Form Tai Chi - $6/free for SilverSneakers
Open class, no need to be a senior or member of the center. Learn and practice the Yang 24 Forms, the most popular Tai Chi set in the world. This is a class taught for health and wellness, with much focus on safety, without emphasis on the martial art aspect. Watch the form performed by Dr. Lam in the video bellow (demonstration begins at min 24:45). To get the most put of this class and effectively practice at home in between classes, I recommend purchasing Dr. Lam's DVD. There's a 35% discount going on in November. You need to register for class at the from desk. Free for SilverSneakers members, non members fee is $6/class. You can buy one or a bunch. Thank you!

What we're about

We bring together people with a passion for healing martial arts or seeking other forms of therapeutic movement - Tai Chi exercise for Health and Wellness, traditional Taiji Chuan, Qigong exercise, Bagua walking, moving meditation, Alexander technique, Feldenkrais and others similar.

We also practice and promote meditation in most forms - stillness, movement, walking, touch, sound.

Our goal is to promote health and wellness in mind, body, and spirit through the use of healing movement and meditation. We are a resource for students and practitioners alike, offering regular classes, private sessions, workshops, training, retreats, community gatherings, outdoor free practice, and professional skill enhancement sessions. Our classes respect and apply the universal, authentic principles of Tai Chi/Qigong, follow the basic principles of body mechanics, with a deep care for safety, and focus on the physical and emotional therapeutic aspect of movement. We strive to create real, alive communities, safe, compassionate, and friendly environments, where people are able to connect and offer support to each other, in joy and sorrow. We are a resource for people living in and around Charlotte, NC.

Group rules:

• Everybody is welcome to propose an event as long as it is not for own profit. Even a hiking together is a good way to spend time with people having similar passions.

• Instructors/teachers that list their classes/events/training are asked to contribute with a bi-annual donation toward the costs needed to keep the Meetup going. We want to know about all good stuff!

• If you RSVP for a meetup, please commit to it; if changes occur, take your time to change the RSVP.

• Thank you for being a part of our Charlotte Healing Martial Arts!
