Do you find yourself questioning your ability to avoid toxic relationships in the future? Do you find yourself engaging in self sabotaging behavior to avoid dealing with your past? Do you sometimes beat yourself up for situations/relationships you’ve experienced in the past? Do you recognize that you have experienced a traumatic relationship and want nothing more than to never experience this again?
If you answered “Yes” to any of the above questions, then you’re in the right place. My name is Paula (Coach P) and I have over 15 years’ experience in the Public Health sector with a focus on Behavioral and Community Health Sciences and coaching individuals healing from past trauma. I'm also a certified domestic violence advocate with experience assisting families in locating necessary resources to rebuild after abuse. However, more importantly I’m a survivor of narcissistic abuse and in this group, we encourage ‘Healing Loudly!’ By joining this group, you are joining a healing community and network led by a qualified and experienced trauma based facilitator.
Many of you are here because you have found yourself spending hours and hours conducting research on the hell you have experienced and now you're searching for answers. This can be exhausting and can cause more anxiety as information not applied is merely knowledge. In this group, the goal is to shift that knowledge into wisdom.
My goal is to streamline the healing process by providing you with the tools to move forward in your healing process succinctly. Through my experience, I have synthesized information so that You can skip steps in your healing journey. You may think you are here because of what you have just experienced; however, there is a high chance this relationship is not the only one you've experienced where boundaries were crossed.
As this group continues to grow, I want to make clear some ground rules I ask we all follow to ensure the success and support of this group:
*Be Kind and Courteous: We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
*Respect Everyone's Privacy: Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in the group should stay in the group.
*Absolutely No Hate Speech or Bullying: Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
*No Promotions or Spam: Please give more than you take to this group. While promotion of your mental health services or local mental health organizational affiliation is allowed, spam and irrelevant links/information are not.
*Be Respectful of Diversity: This group has people from many different walks of life, backgrounds, life experiences and social groups, encompassing a wide range of perspectives and belief systems. Please be respectful of differing opinions. All roads lead to Rome, and we're all here to help each other get there in peace.
*Tactfulness: While members are allowed and encouraged to be open and frank, we will remove any members who use offensive, slanderous, harassing, threatening, or abusive/untoward language toward another member or the group.
*Give Space: Please allow each member to fully develop and express their thoughts before forming your own response/input. Also, please strive for conciseness when sharing, as we have a limited time frame and want to make sure everyone gets an adequate chance to share their thoughts. No crosstalk. Questions, offering relevant personal experience, and words of support are welcome as peers, but we are not here to diagnose or treat anyone.
Thank you all for the opportunity to guide you towards a healing present and future. Invest in You. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain.
