Much attention is given to technology, market assessments, team composition, go-to-market strategy, and product-market fit in the startup environments, but leadership ability is often assumed. During this session, we will focus on the role that leadership plays in the inception and commercialization of a startup. Our panel includes Grace Park, Berkley Baker, and A.T. Gimbel.
About Grace Park
Grace Park is the Co-Founder and President of DocDoc - the world's first patient intelligence company. Grace brings with her more than 19 years of leadership experience, nearly 13 of which were spent in international healthcare when she led large-scale teams of distributors and a direct-to-doctor, pan-Asian sales force for Fortune 500 companies. Grace arrived in Singapore as a Fulbright Fellow and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School alongside, an MPA from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. She graduated with honors from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where she was a four-time All American National Judo Champion.
About Berkley Baker
As a sales and business development vice president in the health technology space, Berkley developed strategic thinking processes to manage national responsibilities for hospital senior executive relationships and new business development. He has facilitated more than 60 leadership seminars to 1,000 sales, marketing, human resources, operations, engineering, and financing leaders for one of the global leaders in leadership training. He holds a doctorate in business from Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business, an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, and a bachelor's degree in economics from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
About A.T. Gimbel
A.T. Gimbel is a partner with Atlanta Ventures, focused on helping entrepreneurs find community, content, and capital to grow their business successfully. He also founded the Atlanta Healthcare Entrepreneur Meetup out of the Atlanta Tech Village. Previously, A.T. led product and go-to-market functions for the Healthcare division of LexisNexis and leading roles in corporate strategy and mergers & acquisitions. A.T. holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
