This seminar will introduce you to the basics of this ancient healing method and give you a chance to investigate how Ayurveda applies to you. Ayurveda directly translates to the knowledge of life and is considered the oldest holistic and preventative approach to health. It is a mechanism for identifying what may be out of balance within your body and provides options for treating this imbalance through modalities like diet, essential oils, and lifestyle choices. Through the teachings of Ayurveda, you can learn how to tap into the innate wisdom of your own body and be able to use this knowledge as a form of preventative care. During this seminar, we will go over the essential tenets of Ayurveda, including the three Ayurvedic Types, or Doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These Doshas are so much more than just body types- they are connected to times of day, seasons, foods, and activities. You will also: - Take a quiz to determine what, if any, imbalances you may have at present - Learn what the warning signs are for a dosha going out of balance - Experience aspects of certain recommended daily Ayurvedic self care routines You will need to bring with you: - A journal if you would like to take notes - A towel and socks you don't care about - a thermos or mug The investment for this two and a half hour seminar is $35, which can be paid via cash or check upon arrival. Regardless of whether you’ve always been curious about Ayurveda, or have never heard of it before, come to this seminar to learn about this ancient approach to health and discover how it can give you a deeper understanding of your unique body.
