Currently offering virtual events for heart health benefits and hiking fun.
**Description before pandemic**
We have free fitness hikes that explore the different parks in the LA metro area. We also have online wellness workshops.
You should join if you want a small group vibe of people who are interested or already committed to healthy living. This is a one-of-kind group led by an elite fitness instructor/wellness consultant who wants to help set you up with resources to help you with weight loss goals, injuries, and more!
It is designed to be an easy hike for your cardio workout, with 15-minutes of strength training and yoga-inspired stretching to help you develop a healthier lifestyle, a total of 1 hour. Hikers who are more athletic will be given other challenges. Bring a friend and make this a social occasion, and you'll learn how to incorporate new habits that support your heart health! Get out of your rut and explore new areas of LA's great parks!
Destinations include: Franklin Canyon, Lake Balboa, Griffith Park, Topanga Canyon
Please RSVP so we know who to expect, and we'll send you more specific meeting details. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we may have left the meeting spot. Please note: While we love dogs, this is a fitness hike with group fitness instruction and wellness info where we want you to have a calm focus on yoga breathing techniques and not worrying about Fido chasing a squirrel. We encourage you to bring your dog to the park on a different social occasion.
RSVP Policy: Thanks to the enthusiastic interest for this group, we have waitlisted members and we want everyone to be respectful to share the opportunity. If you are sick or possibly not going to attend, please change your RSVP to NO so that others can attend. Please update your RSVP and pay attention to whether you got moved up from the waitlist the day before the hike. It is designed to be a small group so that you can learn exercises! TWO NO SHOWS will remove you from the group.
