What's on for the evening...

• Pre-meeting food, drinks and chatting, courtesy of reecetech (Thank you!) - 5.30pm for a prompt 6pm start, then...

1 - The Heart of Agile is defined by four verbs or “doing” words: Collaborate - Deliver - Reflect - Improve. Agile Mindset (through the lens of social psychology) is considered the “cognitive toolkit” we use to understand and then “do”. This suggests a close relationship between Agile Mindset (the ability to recognise VUCA*) and Heart of Agile (responding to VUCA*).

*VUCA - Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous.

This intersection of Heart of Agile and Agile Mindset is the first part of our exploration and brings us to an hypothesis to collaboratively explore

Without agile mindset and heart of agile behaviours humans couldn’t have survived and thrived in VUCA environments for the last several hundred thousand years. While we no longer need to deal with the complexity and ambiguity of avoiding being eaten while finding food, we still manage complex social relationships and the ambiguity created by children are still core components of everyday life.

Therefore.....

Why do organisations have difficulty encouraging Heart of Agile in the work space?

2 - Call to action! Now that we are starting to delve into practical tools, techniques and tricks to get us to better Collaborate, Deliver, Reflect and Improve - what can you take, use, learn, return and share? Next session it would be great if community members came back and talked about what they have taken away, tried and implemented. What did you learn and what story can you share!?
