• h.h - Arduino/LED strip workshop

    Hedron Hackerspace

In this workshop, we will teach the basics of how to program an Arduino to run an addressable LED strip. We'll provide people the gear and info for people to program and install LEDs into a project of their own. $5 suggested donation, free for members, with no one turned away due to lack of funds. Please join us! We will only have 2 computers for people to use, so it can be helpful to bring a laptop. You can buy a kit from us, or bring your own LED strips. If you're just interested in checking it out, that's cool too!

  • h.h - Welding Basics

    Hedron Hackerspace

    $30.00

This is a 2 hour introductory wire feed MIG welding class, with open shop time afterwards. The price is $30 for the single session where you will bring home an example project you complete during the class. We have limited slots, so RSVP! You're welcome to bring guests, but we can't guarantee space or welders available. We'll provide all the materials, and there is a lot of other scrap material to use. If you have a welding project in mind, please bring it in! You'll be free to use the shop until we close the building after at least 9:00. You will also be trained on using an angle grinder if you want to use it in your project. We have an example hanging lamp project for people to do, or we can tailor projects to whatever the students are interested in. If you would like to become a member, your $30 can go towards a new membership of $40-$80(sliding scale) that grants you use of the space during open hours. Anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult, and we don't yet offer classes to children under 16 at the hackerspace.
