What we're about

This group is for the change makers.

Action takers.

“Doers” with a fire inside to make good stuff happen.

Hello! 👋👋👋 You're invited to join our tribe. We're everyday folks connecting with local causes and nonprofits to give time, love and effort back to our communities.

We're neighbors, families and individuals trying to push things forward through volunteerism, acts of kindness and positive initiatives.

Will you join us? Discover or grow your inner spark for "do-gooding" by RSVP’ing to an upcoming event.

You and me? If we do this together, I know we can wallop (great word, right?) this world with unabashed giving-a-darn, borderline-annoying-optimistic-zeal and action.

Ready to rock your “Be the Change” moment?

Okay, then. Let's do this.

Our Mission:

CREATE & MULTIPLY GOODNESS through volunteerism, advocacy, fundraising and everyday acts of humanity and kindness!

Guest Chefs @ Ronald McDonald House (We'll plan and cook a meal for 25)

I've signed us up to be a "Guest Chef" volunteer group to prepare an evening meal for the families at the OKC Ronald McDonald house. They provide the kitchen for us and we do the rest. Dinner is served at 6pm for families so we'll arrive a few hours early so we have plenty of time to cook. They can accommodate a group of up to 10 people in the kitchen. I'll be grocery shopping for us and all you have to do is show up and help pitch in for the food. MENU: I'm planning a menu of stuffed baked chicken, salad and a dessert (TBD). Learn more here: https://takethemameal.com/meals.php?t=DXIS3760 https://rmhc-okc.org/volunteer/ IMPORTANT: PLEASE KEEP YOUR RSVP UP-TO-DATE SINCE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHOWING UP TO HELP AND WE DO NOT WANT TO LET THESE FAMILIES DOWN. This is definitely a different way for us to give back and I'm excited to see us put together a delicious and healthy meal that will bring some comfort to these families. ****MEET AT FRONT ENTRANCE AT 4PM SHARP!!! From their websites: Guest Chef Volunteers - After a long day at the hospital, there’s nothing more appreciated than a home-cooked meal. Get together with friends, family, or co-workers to plan a menu and prepare a comforting evening meal for our families. We provide the kitchen, you provide the food. Whether a one-time event, or a monthly date, we invite you to come to the Ronald McDonald House and share your culinary skills with our families. Learn more about being a Guest Chef. >>>> Dear Future Guest Chef: Thank you for your support of Ronald McDonald House Charities Oklahoma City through our Guest Chef Program. Meals prepared with compassion and care are the ultimate comfort food for our families. For the health and safety of our families, please be aware of the following House policies: Evening meals are served at 6 p.m., every day, 365 days a year. Our kitchen can accommodate group sizes of 2-10 people. Children 16 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult. All food must be prepared onsite or in a commercial kitchen (i.e., local restaurant, licensed caterer, or grocery store). We ask that Guest Chefs NOT solicit donations on behalf of RMHC-OKC to fund your meals. Please plan to prepare for 25 people. There are no limitations to what you can serve. However, pasta and tacos can come off overdone. Fresh, healthy options are always appreciated. Contact us for help with meal ideas! Our House is equipped with a large variety of cookware and appliances. Please contact us in advance if you have specific needs. An ice machine and Coke machine are available onsite. Other drinks are welcomed but not required.
