Join us for the next, online Swifters Budapest meetup in December!

Swifters is the home of everything Swift, where you can meet local developers to talk about the language, emerging technologies, and best practices. Beginners and experts are both welcome. 🙌

Speakers and talks
In view of the current situation, our meetup will be online this time. All our talks will be in English as usual. We are happy to present you our speakers: 🔥🎙

  • Tomás Ruiz-López (Technical Lead, 47 Degrees)
    Title: Demystifying Functional Programming
Abstract: Functional Programming is often looked with squinted eyes and a bit of distrust; it is felt as something too esoteric and academic to have practical application. However, many concepts from FP have been adopted into modern programming languages to great benefits for developers! Let’s dive into what makes your code functional and demystify the most obscure parts of it. You will discover that Swift incorporates more functional constructions that you may think, and that you have been practicing them without being aware!

  • Adrián Bukros (Mobile Technologist, Makery)
    Title: iOS Development with AppCode
Abstract: Xcode is the only choice for iOS development since the beginning. Now it's time to stir things up! JetBrains already proved a lot with its famous IntelliJ IDEA family on other platforms, and with AppCode they are trying to do the same for developers targeting Apple's ecosystem. In my talk, I will show you all the tricks and superpowers AppCode has to offer you.

  • Ellen Shapiro (Mobile Engineer, Apollo GraphQL)
Title: Getting Resourceful With Swift Package Manager
Abstract: Swift Package Manager added support for including resources in Swift 5.3. Learn about what you can and can’t include now, and how to include various things like xibs, Core Data models, and internationalization data.
