Details
Join us for the next, online Swifters Budapest meetup in March!
Swifters is the home of everything Swift, where you can meet local developers to talk about the language, emerging technologies, and best practices. Beginners and experts are both welcome. 🙌
Since the community's safety and wellbeing is our top priority, our meetup will still be online.
All our talks will be in English as usual.
We are proud to introduce our speakers: 🔥🎙
-
Main talk: Dávid Horváth (Lead iOS Developer @Supercharge)
Talk title: Supercharging project health check: go beyond the usual practices
Abstract: Maybe you can relate to the following situation: you suddenly find yourself working on an app that was built by someone else, and you just don’t know where to look first? Working for a digital agency I went through this exact situation several times, and it’s not an easy start. You have to dig quite a bunch, unless you focus on the right things using the right tools. So what to look for when someone is handing over a project to you? How to analyze legacy projects, detect hotspots and evaluate their risks? In my talk, I will try to answer these questions and show you some tools and techniques that came pretty handy for me during my previous works. -
Lightning talk: Tamás Horváth (iOS Developer @ Makery)
Talk title: Dependency management for iOS in 2021
Abstract: Dependency management has always been a tough question in
iOS development. There are a few methods out there, but each of them
has its flaws. Until a few years from now, there wasn't even an official
method that Apple maintains, we could only rely on unofficial solutions.
Now we have Swift Package Manager, but that's no sunshine and
rainbows either. In this talk, we'll go through each option and look for a
use-case when they might be worth using.
If you also have an intriguing topic that you'd like to share in one of our meetups, please fill out the form below. After filling the form, we will follow-up with you and discuss all the details.
