Durham Creek Week Small Group Cleanup

Clean Jordan Lake is organizing this trash cleanup event as a Durham Creek Week (https://keepdurhambeautiful.org/creek-week) activity.

The location is Third Fork Creek, both to the north and south of Martin Luther King Pkwy. The meetup location is the parking lot of the Public Works Operation Center City of Durham on Martin Luther King Pkwy.

We recommend volunteers to bring rubber boots or better yet, waders to cross a shallow creek. There will also be options available for volunteers who do not wish to get wet.

PLEASE NOTE the following special requirements:

• SUBMIT ONLINE LIABILITY WAIVER FORM IN ADVANCE (https://www.cleanjordanlake.org/volunteer-waiver for adults; https://www.cleanjordanlake.org/minor-waiver for minors)
• FEEL WELL
• BRING YOUR OWN WORK GLOVES OR WE CAN PROVIDE NITRILE INSERTS TO WEAR INSIDE OUR GLOVES
• HAND SANITIZER STATION AT MEETUP LOCATION

Keep Durham Beautiful and Clean Jordan Lake will provide:

• work gloves (if needed) with nitrile inserts
• a couple pairs of waders
• trash grabbers
• trash bags
• insect repellent
• hand sanitizer
• two group leaders
