What we're about

A new support and healing group for bereaved parents and families is coming to
Philadelphia . Helping Parents Heal goes a step beyond other grief support groups by
allowing an open discussion of spiritual experiences and afterlife evidence. This makes
sense since over 75% of bereaved parents have after-death contacts in which they
sense the presence of their departed children. This group welcomes everyone
regardless of their religious or non-religious backgrounds.
Helping Parents Heal recognizes several factors that contribute to the healing process:
caring support from others, interaction with people who have also experienced loss,
service to others, personal transformation and, perhaps most importantly, discovering a
reason for hope. This hope comes from acknowledging our spiritual/energetic natures
and understanding that our loved ones continue on in another realm after physical
death.
This group provides support for:
● parents, grandparents, siblings, and other close relatives and friends of a child
who has died by any means: accident, illness, homicide, or suicide
● loved ones of a departed child of any age since, for example, an eighty-year-old
mother may deeply grieve when her sixty-year-old daughter passes on
● people of any religious affiliation, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, gender,
socio-economic status, or other relatively trivial factors
● Helping Parents Heal will meet at For Pete’s Sake 900 S. Front street (corner of
front and Christian) 2nd floor starting on Wednesday, October 3rd and monthly
thereafter on the first Wednesday of each month from 7 to 9 pm.
You are welcome to bring family members and friends. Suggested donation of $5
for space and speakers if you can afford it.
