Established in 2001, Henderson Writers’ Group (HWG) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide a networking and critiquing forum for writers of all skill levels with resources devoted to education and craft development.
What We Do:
The Henderson Writers’ Group holds four meetings a week. Our Monday and Thursday meetings are at the core of our mission offering Read & Critique opportunities. After a bit of group business, dues paid members who have requested in advance may read and then receive critique on about 5-7 pages (10 minutes of reading time/5 minutes of critique time). You must be a dues paid member to read, but anyone present can offer critique, either verbally, on a manuscript copy provided by the reader, or on a critique sheet.
Our Wednesday meetings change weekly: 1st Wed. Author self-promotion training, 2nd Wed. Book club discussions, 3rd Wed. Writing prompts, 4th Wed. West-side Critique night 5th Wed. Workshop/Speaker (when we have a 5th Wed.)
Mondays, 6:30-8:30 PM Read & Critique Community Lutheran Church 3720 E. Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada 89121
