What we’re about
"Building Community one friend at a time" is our motto, but what is Community? There are so many definitions: people that live in the same area, people that share common interests or pastimes, people helping neighbors, people supporting local businesses, people sharing a sense of civic pride. Hendo Fun Friends (HFF) is all that, and more! Our group provides many and varied events to cater to most anyone's interests, always welcoming new ideas and venues - especially when you volunteer to Host the event! The one thing most all of our events have in common is that they are held in the Hendersonville area. Our group is all-inclusive: we are single, married and widowed... rich and poor... working and retired... native born, transplants, and immigrants... residents and visitors... followers of various philosophies and religions... we differ politically... we might identify sexually, racially, and ethnically different than you. So yes, our HFF community is a large and diverse group and you will meet many that are different from you - but that is a good thing, not a scary one! It's time to have Fun and make new Friends - especially if you are a newcomer to Hendersonville! Together let's enjoy the local area - who knows, you may soon put a name to that "stranger" you've seen all over town!
This is not your "parents Meetup" - we hold MANY events, which means you will receive MANY emails to announce our various events. You can always change your email settings to customize how many notifications you receive.
"Bienvenido a Hendersonville Divertidos Amigos!"
Remember to support our Sponsors and local venues by purchasing beverage or food at events - and the hard-working wait staff would welcome tips. And if the spirit moves you, show our local musicians that Hendersonville Fun Friends appreciates their talent - via the Tip Jar!

- FYI: H’vlle PD's National Night OutBlue Ridge Mall, Hendersonville, NC
Hendersonville Police Department will host its annual community engagement event; open to the public.
HPD's National Night Out will take place Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 4-7 p.m. in the Blue Ridge Mall parking lot. The police department hosts the free event with the goal of connecting with the very people it serves.
“Building trust in the community is a high priority for us,” Hendersonville Police Chief Blair Myhand said in a statement. “National Night Out is a great way for our officers and staff to get to know each other by providing a great evening of fun for the whole family.”
On Oct. 3, Hendersonville residents can enjoy free food in the form of hot dogs and Pelican's SnoBalls, along with fun activities like a donut-eating contest, police officer dunk tank, inflatable basketball, door breaching simulation, face painting and more.
The popular llamas of Ellaberry Farm will also join the fun!
Kids age 12 and under are encouraged to "dress like a hero," coming to the event in costume dressed like their favorite superhero, first responder or to pay homage to their very own personal hero.
During National Night Out, community members will also be able to interact with emergency equipment displays from the Hendersonville Police Department and Hendersonville Fire Department, as well as trucks from Hendersonville Public Works and Water & Sewer departments.
- Amble and RamblePatton Park, Hendersonville, NC
Join us to get your steps in, meet new friends and engage in lively conversation on the Oklawaha Greenway. Walkers meet in the Patton Park parking lot. Walking distances vary (generally four miles), but we are usually done by 11:30. The pathway is paved.
Socialized dogs on leash are welcome.
