What we're about

Building Community One Friend At A Time is our motto, but what is Community? There are so many definitions: people that live in the same area, people that share common interests or pastimes, people helping neighbors, people supporting local businesses, people sharing a sense of civic pride. Hendo Fun Friends (HFF) is all that, and more! Our group provides many and varied events to cater to most anyone's interests, always welcoming new ideas and venues - especially when you volunteer to Host the event! The one thing most all of our events have in common is that they are held in the Hendersonville area. Our group is all-inclusive: we are single, married and widowed... rich and poor... working and retired... native born, transplants, and immigrants... residents and visitors... followers of various philosophies and religions... we differ politically... we might identify sexually, racially, and ethnically different than you. So yes, our HFF community is a large and diverse group and you will meet many that are different from you - but that is a good thing, not a scary one! It's time to have Fun and make new Friends - especially if you are a newcomer to Hendersonville! Together let's enjoy the local area - who knows, you may soon put a name to that "stranger" you've seen all over town!

This is not your "parents Meetup" - we hold MANY events, which means you will receive MANY emails to announce our various events. You can always change your email settings to customize how many notifications you receive.

"Bienvenido a Hendersonville Divertidos Amigos!"

Remember to support our Sponsors and local venues by purchasing beverage or food at events - and the hard-working wait staff would welcome tips. And if the spirit moves you, show our local musicians that Hendersonville Fun Friends appreciates their talent - via the Tip Jar!

Grin & Bear It - Coffee Break at Black Bear

Location visible to members

*** It's "Open House" from 9:30ish to 11:00ish, at which time Black Bear reassembles tables for lunchtime traffic - *** Black Bear tries to accommodate 20 or so Fun Friends every Tuesday morning but if you do not arrive early, other customers may be taking up available seating. Anyone for a "coffee break" on Tuesdays? We can kibitz and chitchat for an hour while caffeinating our systems! It's a great venue for new members to learn names and faces by sitting at a different spot each week. Black Bear - one of our group's earliest SPONSORS - offers a fine selection of coffee and tea, espresso and latte. Light breakfast fare and/or pastries are also available to nibble on. If not hungry please order a beverage - this is a business after all... http://blackbear.coffee/ https://www.facebook.com/blackbearcoffeeco?fref=ts

Round Table Discussion Meetup 9/17

Appalachian Coffee Company

***Remember, this is a business. A such, participants are expected to buy something to drink and/or eat to support our host venue. *** Join us for a round table discussion about topics both light or serious. I will introduce a topic but please feel free to suggest one of your own. We'll go around the table to allow everyone to briefly comment on the topic and then I'll open the table to allow further comments and observations before moving on to a different topic. Strive to practice civil discourse by displaying common decency and manners. We are here to share ideas and opinions -- not to force your point of view on others. All are encouraged to join in and contribute to the conversation but also feel free to just sit back and listen.
