FREE Introductory Workshop: Using the Laser Cutter and Engraver

We will be hosting an 'intro to laser cutting' class. During this class we will learn about the basics of laser cutting, including how the machine works, usable materials, and file types for laser cutting. In addition to basics, this class will allow you to comfortably create an image, prepare and upload the file into the machine, and operate the machine once the file is downloaded. All attendees will be given a take home item that we will laser cut in class! While you are here you will also be able to check out the other machinery and gadgets around our Makerspace.

Age: Attendees must be 18 or over

• Our intro to laser cutting class (this class will focus on using the laser cutter and making files for laser cutting)

• Certification to use our laser cutting station

• A list of free online resources and info, along with software to create and prepare your file for laser cutting!

Parking:

We have 3 parking spots directly in front of our HexCorp Makerspace front entrance/window (suite #303), a large private parking lot behind our building and also free street parking.
