Hard water hike to fish

Details
• What we'll do:
Icefishing can be a ton of fun in Colorado, particularly if you hike/snowshoe into places that most no one else fishes.
Join this Hike to Hunt and Fish adventure to hike into a high alpine lake to catch trout through the ice. Bait, tackle and ice auger are provided, but you will need to have your own fishing rods, and be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
After a morning of icefishing, we'll hike down the mountain to grab a bite and brew at a local watering hole.
Location is to be determined based on conditions at the time. Details will be provided week of, but you can expect to carpool from either Denver or Boulder at around 6 am Saturday, April 7 and be back by 3 pm or so. Also expect to hike about 2-5 miles or so, which may or may not require the use of snowshoes depending on current conditions. Details will be provided no later than the Wednesday before.
• What to bring:
Ice rods and potentially snowshoes, and whatever you need to hike 5 miles at elevation and be comfortable in cold, possibly bitter cold and windy conditions.
