Also a photographer's dream trip. ** This is a three part Outing ! It will knock your sox off !
Plan for a long day.
We meet at the Union hotel in Occidental. From here we can carpool & or follow me to our first location : . We will head North to Fort Ross . Hiking around this historic place is easily 2 miles up & down hills & cliff trails& bluffs. ** The Fort Ross portion is spectacular on the ocean cliffs. Tour portions of the historic Russian fur trading fort. Trails to hidden crescent beach & up close photo opportunities to view Seal pods & other wildlife.
Then our wine picnic & on to a hidden redwood forest trail very close by. WE will also view the most Bazaar Bay Laurel tree you have ever seen. It has 3-4 animals from its unique branches, & more. Plus a special forest that has unusual trees stunted from the 1906 earthquake. 19 ft. separation from the quake as we will be right over the San Andreas fault line !! Plus more !

Then on South to the Sea cliffs above Jenner town, Stunning cliff top views of the ever changing Russian river to the sea. A short hike down to the beach will have us view all manner of active wildlife there. This is a very special place, as it is constantly changing. NOTE: See the newest Driftwood mansion on the beach.

Our super fun dinner option follows . I will have hard to choose choices for those who still have energy left. ** The RUSSIA HOUSE is still open !!. . A very unique total food Experience !
** Bring shoes with good tread, & maybe sandals for the beach areas, A warm jacket is a must, & BRING A LUNCH !.
I will have the usual buffet in my car for all. (Water, juice,tea,cofffee,energy & protein drinks, gourmet fruit & nut packs, great trail bars, Vino & more. Also hiking poles, & other supplies.
