What we're about

A fun-loving group of well-organized people who enjoy engaging in the titled activities, while remaining open to other events of mutual interest.
We are geared toward the 40+ crowd (single or attached), but no one is going to check your ID (all are welcome!). We do ask that you please provide a recent & recognizable picture on your profile.

Our hikes will be led primarily by George, who tends to choose moderate to challenging trails. HOWEVER, these are hikes, not races. Therefore, all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to come out. No one will ever be left behind and pace is not a concern. We're more interested in enjoying the outdoors, scenic beauty and good company.
Hikes will be focused on but not limited to the North Jersey/Southern New York area.

Our bike rides will take place from the Princeton, Frenchtown & New Hope (D&R Canal) towpaths to the Hudson/Jersey City bike routes.

Hikes & bike rides will often be followed by a hearty, delicious meal at a local restaurant/pub.

Our favorite campgrounds include Worthington State Forest, Spruce Run Recreation Area and Wawayanda State Park.

Music and concert events will be geared toward classic rock bands which continue to tour & tribute bands to those who no longer do so.

As always, by joining the group and attending events, you acknowledge that you are of adult age and responsible for your own behavior & safety.
In return, we provide assurance that all who join us will be treated with respect & dignity; and that the group will be governed by basic principles of reason, decency and common sense.

We look forward to meeting you!

South Mountain Reservation 6+ miles **Please read restrictions**

**Please read RESTRICTIONS below!** DESCRIPTION: This is a moderate 6+ mile loop starting at Tulip Springs Parking lot, and will follow mostly the Rahway and Lenape trails with possible stops at "fairy trail", Crest Drive and Hemlock Falls. The terrain is mostly easy, but there are some hills that make this a moderate hike. Bring plenty of water, snacks or lunch, and dress for the weather. Don't forget insect repellent and sunscreen. Heavy rain cancels, but light rain does not. Watch this post for updates as the date approaches. Meet at Tulip Springs Parking Lot (64 Cherry Lane, West Orange, NJ) at 9:40 am for a 10 am start. [Day-of-hike phone:[masked]] **RESTRICTIONS**: hikers will always remain 6-feet apart. You *must* bring a mask and prepare to use it as warranted. Please do not join if you have had any upper respiratory symptoms within two weeks of the hike. Use good judgement to exclude yourself if you believe you have been exposed to individuals infected with Covid-19. For everyone's safety and comfort, we will (politely) ask non-compliant hikers to leave the hike.

Best Of The Eagles - Outdoors at Woodbridge High School

Woodbridge High School Soccer Field

The show is on the lawn behind the high school. Get there early & throw down a blanket. See you there!

Softball Game

Stokes State Forest

I spied a seemingly unused but groomed ball field set in a pristine corner of Stokes. No one has to be Willie Mays here, just be. I myself will probably pull a hamstring rounding first base.

12 Miles Of Devil's Path, Catskill Mountains

Prediger Road Trailhead

Start at Prediger, end at Roaring Kill Trailhead, where our "drop" vehicles will be parked, 10 minutes drive between the trailheads. Serious RSVP's only, please: this will be a difficult/strenuous hike!
