DAY TRIP IN AND AROUND SANTA BARBARA VIA AMTRAK

AMTRAK HAS A HABIT OF UPDATING THEIR SCHEDULES!
TRAVELERS MUST VERIFY THE FOLLOWING WHEN THEY BOOK:

ALL TRAINS FROM/TO SIMI VALLEY STATION ARE NOW $24

(1) THE "MAIN TRAIN" REMAINS (mainly on the plains):
Train #765 Departs SIM: 10:11AM --- Arrives SBA: 11:50AM
Train #794 Departs SBA: 7:04PM ---- Arrives SIM: 8:50PM

(2) MANY (possibly myself) WILL TAKE THE EARLIER TRAIN:
Train #761 Departs SIM 8:14AM --- Arrives SBA: 9:55AM

(3) AND A FEW WILL TAKE THESE TRAINS AS WELL:
Train #14 Departs SIM: 10:55AM --- Arrives SBA 12:20PM
Train #11 Departs SBA: 6:19PM --- Arrives SIM: 8:02PM

NOTE: You can also book passage from other start locations, e.g.
Chatsworth, Van Nuys, Oxnard, Ventura, Carpinteria, etc...
You will see if your station is included for both legs when you book.

WE'LL TRIP AROUND SANTA BARBARA, the pier, the breweries and restaurants, shops and galleries, then make our way back to the train station for a relaxing ride home via Amtrak!

ALTERNATIVELY: Drive yourself and meet at the Santa Barbara Train Station or look for your Hiking Friends on State Street between the pier and the upper part of Lower State Street.

PLEASE NOTE: This is largely a walking event (3-5 miles+) and everyone can walk at their own pace. Please don't ask the group to wait for you if you fall behind... Just check the Messages for the next destination and catch up!
