Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park / Doughty Falls

The trailhead parking lot is very small with limited parking and this is the reason I would like us to meet at the Issaquah Transit Center parking garage. Not only will this help ensure  us a parking spot but also allow parking for other hikers.

The quiet Wilderness Creek Trail climbs to the park's little known summit via an appealing valley, passing several viewpoints along the way. The highest point is Wilderness Peak at 1595 ft. This is a double loop hike and a waterfall.

For those who will be meeting at the trailhead, the rest of should be arriving between 8:45 and 9:00 AM.

There is also the option of stopping somewhere for lunch afterward. The Issaquah Brewhouse has always been one of our favorites.

9:00 AM - Start the hike

A little sunshine, a little rain, and a refreshing, early spring walk, topped off with Bob's delicious signature "hot Cocoa" and his usual, good vibration and comradery; Can't beat that!

    Thank you, Bob.
We haven't been very lucky with regional weather conditions lately concerning a day hike in surrounding hills and mountain ranges. Let us hope, the stars would line up for a decent condition this coming Saturday.

Yeah, projected forecast is rain at the moment. I do not understand hiking in the rain and cold, so am keeping my fingers crossed!
