Full Moon Walk in Enniskerry



Takes Place on Oct 12th at 6pm in Enniskerry Meet For Enniskerry: At the Clock Tower (Center of the village) 17:45pm These Full Moon Walks are an excellent opportunity to see beautiful landscape by the light of the moon.The walks will be short 2-3 hr walks. You will visit some of the most scenic parts of Wicklow and Dublin, places such as Glendalough, Luggala, Djouce and many more. If you have never had the opportunity to do some night walking then don't miss this as it's an altogether different experience. Transport: There is a Public Bus from the 44 that will bring you to Enniskerry. http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Your-Journey1/Timetables/All-Timetables/444/ About the walk: The walk will place close to Enniskerry village. We will walk on Carrickgollogan and take many of the great wooded trails along the way. There are fantastic 360 degree views from the top of this small hill across the eastern coastline of Dublin and Wicklow. The tracks is very good easy to walk on and we will also pass by the Ballycorus Lead mines Chimney. This is a fantastic walk and easily manageable by most people. Glendalough - St Kevin's Way

Guided Walk along St Kevin’s Way – Glendalough Walking time: Approx 3-4hrs, Distance: Approx 13Km. Graded: Easy – Moderate Terrain: Forest track and marked trails Cost: €25pp includes transport and guides. Pickup: Maldron Hotel for 09:45am and Balally Luas stop at 10:00 St Kevin is the founder of Glendalough Monastic City. We trace the journey he made across the Wicklow Mountains, a route later popular with pilgrims making their annual journey to the "Valley of the Seven Churches". Meeting at Lynham’s in Laragh we will car pool and drive some cars out to the start of the walk from Annalecky bridge in the Wicklow Gap. Here the trail is mainly of road until we get to the foot of Turlough Hill Power station. From here there are wonderful down the miners village and the Glendasan valley. It is all downhill from here following the Glendasan river towards Glendalough and Laragh where we finish. We will be stopping for a bite to eat along the way so bring a small packed lunch. Walk the Wicklow Way to Johnny Foxs

Walking time: approx 4hrs: 14Km. Ascent: 500m Graded: Moderate Terrain: Hillside trails, Open mountain top and bog road. Meeting: 10:30 - Marlay Park (Wicklow Way start sign) Price: €25 Pickup Available: Maldron Hotel, Tallaght 09:30 and Luas Balally at 10:00. Transport provided back after the walk. About The Walk: This is part of the Wicklow Way, a trail that travels south from Dublin for approx 128Km to Clonegal in Co.Carlow. This section travels through south Dublin from Marlay Park and into the Dublin hills at Kilmashogue and crosses over “two rock” and the side of “fairy castle” into the Glencullen valley. From here we leave the traditional Wicklow Way trail and make our way to Johnny Foxes Pub for a bite to eat and drink. The trail is very well laid out and good for walking on. The track goes from parkland to small roads, open mountain tops and through wonderful forest trails and of course a nice pub at the end.
