Join us at an informal baithak (house concert) where we kick it off with a Sitar - Veena jugalbandi, accompanied by Tabla & Ghatam.

If time & weather permits afterwards, we will open for our usual "impromptu" sessions where you can bring your instruments and show us a track or two!

House address will be emailed to all RSVPed attendees a couple days before the event.

Artists:
Veena, by Chaitra Agrahar
"I'm a Physics PhD student, and a musician. I have been in the Carnatic music tradition for most of my life, and trained in vocals and the Veena.

My gurus are Vidushi. Saraswati Nataraj, Sri. Gokul Subramaniam, and I'm currently learning from Vidushi. Jaysri Jeyaraaj Krishnan. I come from the disciple lineage of Muthuswami Dikshitar"

Sitar, by Hari Nair
"Unfortunately I can't claim lineage from Swathi Tirunal
But I did save 15% by using Geico"

Tabla, Randall Jamrok
Randall has been learning and practising Tabla for about 20 years, with guru Pt. Samir Chatterjee.
He has performed with Indian Classical musicians including the late Pandit Ramesh Mishra, bansuri Maestro Steve Gorn, harmonium Maestro Nalin Moolji, sitar players Maestro Aloke Dasgupta and Daisy Paradis, the International Vocal Ensemble at Indiana University Bloomington directed by Mary Goetze, and the Chhandayan student tabla ensemble performing at Lincoln Center directed by Samir Chatterjee.
