“If you build it, they will come,” only worked in Field of Dreams. Turning a vision into a viable product involves much more than building the product. It requires understanding your market, designing and building the product to fulfill user needs, and remaining determined yet willing to pivot through the inevitable ups and downs. Shannon Daniels, Founder & CEO of encaptiv—along with co-founder, Emmanuel Rivera—will share the journey taking encaptiv from idea to launch. You'll hear how the Shannon and the encaptiv team: came up with the idea for encaptiv, transformed the initial idea into something the marketplace wanted, turned the vision into reality, designed a product for optimal user experience, made key technical decisions, pivoted when technical obstacles reared their ugly head, built excitement and buy-in for the product before it was even ready. Meet Shannon: Shannon Malkin Daniels believes anything is possible with creativity, hard work and perseverance. The once sales and marketing executive has parlayed her corporate experience into success as an entrepreneur, author, TEDx speaker and communication coach. In 2017, Shannon founded encaptiv, an award-winning interactive presentation and sales platform that promotes audience engagement and helps presenters achieve presentation goals. Shannon has been honored as one of Fairfield County's 40 Under Forty and is the Chair of Stamford Innovation Week. She holds a master’s in interpersonal communication from the University of Central Florida and has served on the faculty of Columbia University and Iona College. Meet Emmanuel: Emmanuel has 14 years experience working in telecommunications and medical fields. He was experience with internal and external web applications, data processing workflows, systems and test automation. He's still a believer in the Golden State Warriors.
