What we're about

Holochain Brisbane (formerly Brisbane Ethereum) community is intended as a medium for developers, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts who wish to learn more about decentralised technologies and discuss them with like-minded individuals.

Our meetups cover a variety of topics such as the technical details of Web3 protocols such as Ethereum, Holochain, IPFS, Swarm, Whisper, Scuttlebutt, Cardstack and more. We also cover general topics such as decentralised trust systems and the social/cultural implications of distributed systems.

We are a globally-connected local collective with a focus on augmenting the ways that the world is organised. New ways of organising allow us to harness efficiency, democracy, and eschew centralised power.

We believe this world can be built on a myriad of emerging networking technologies - including blockchain - which by their nature allow fluid, open communication and value transfer. Come along to our meetups to learn about what we do.

FYI: This is the cousin group to the Melbourne Web3 Meetup group and sister group to the Sydney Web3 Meetup group.
