Welcome to the first Perth Holochain Meetup!

Holochain is a new technology with the potential to play a key role in a transition to a new economy that's more sustainable, fair, locally grounded and regenerative.

On 1 May we'll gather to learn and discuss more about Holo and Holochain, and how these can contribute to a transition to a so-called commons-based societal model for the long-term stewardship of resources that preserves shared values and community identity.

We'll explore things like:

  • What if the sharing economy didn’t have companies in the middle and instead was really peer to peer?
  • How can Holochain provide the infrastructure for value-stable cryptocurrencies for water, energy and food?
  • What if your idea could scale into a sustainable and thriving economy unto itself?

Contributors:

  • Emaline Friedman, Researcher, Network activist and cultural critic at The Commons Engine, Holo and Holochain (online presentation and Q&A from the US).
  • Andy Thomson, Circular economy expert, Holonic Circular and Systemic Innovation.
  • Adam Jorlen, Futurist, enkel collective. Holochain investor.
  • Karun Cowper, New Economy Network Australia WA steering committee. P2P and the commons.
  • Marc Griffiths, Ethereum Developer & Entrepreneur, Value Instrument. Tailored complementary currencies
  • JP Parker, Infinite Solutions, recovering futurist, thought disrupter.

See you there! :)
