What we're about

This is a welcoming secular group for homeschool families of all backgrounds that want to build a close-knit non-faith-based community for our children. This group is for you if you welcome diversity (e.g. rainbow, cultural, non-faith/faith) and will be a friend to all without distinction.

Activities are usually within a 30 minute drive from the Sacramento area (concentrated in the Rancho Cordova/Fair Oaks/Carmichael/Orangevale area, but we have members as far as West Sac and Elk Grove and everyone is welcome to host a meetup anywhere) and occasionally farther for special trips. This group is for you if you like to have fun, be outdoors, make friends, and learn from life's adventures.

*Please note that although we welcome all ages, the majority of our kids are in TK to 6th grade, with some younger siblings as well.*

Before requesting to join, please message the group organizer Emily to come to a Meetup and check out the group. If you can't figure out how to do that, look for a message after submitting a join request. The Meetup app won't always notify you of a message. Make sure your profile picture is something that can be easily used to identify & recognize your face at a meetup & be prepared to attend an event before being added to start your trial.

Please no soliciting.

----------------------------

- Annual dues - The $12 membership fee is collected annually to encourage active participation. This fee is administrative in nature and no refunds will be issued, including in the event that a member is removed for being inactive.

- Active membership - Your participation helps our kids cultivate friendships and build life experiences. Please be a friend and attend events regularly. Attending regularly means showing up to one of our group's events at least once a month. Inactive members will be removed from the group until they're able to attend an event again.

- Contribute - Members are encouraged to contribute in any or all of the following ways: by hosting events, sharing ideas for future events, bringing materials when requested for special activities, etc.

- Cancellations - Please be courteous when RSVPing; make sure to take yourself off an event as soon as you know you can't make it (ideally 24 hours or more). This is sure to be appreciated by all & helps the host with planning or clears up a space for anyone on the waitlist.
