- Would you like to have a playground where you can step outside of the box in the way you relate with other human beings and create deeper, richer and more rewarding connections?
Come to an Authentic Relating Games Night!
What are they?
Authentic relating games are facilitated, fun, and highly interactive pair and group exercises that give players a taste of both the joy and depth of interpersonal connection. They offer a safe and structured way to explore curiosity, deeper connection, going beyond small talk and towards richer, more rewarding and often transformative shared experiences. Authentic Relating Games Nights are taking place in cities around the world (e.g. London, Amsterdam, Oslo, Stockholm, Toronto, San Francisco, NY, Austin, Boulder to name a few) and is a growing community. It has now come to Hong Kong.
Who can play?
Anyone! Whether single, dating, married, young, old, spiritual junkie or just curious human being, it doesn't matter. Anyone who feels a desire to feel more connected with others, and is willing to try something new!
Authentic Relating is the prelude to a practise called circling. Once you have attended a games night and become familiar with authentic relating you can take this practise a level further by participating in a circling evening. By relating in the present moment – beyond stories, expectations and predetermined ideas about who you are – circling has the capacity to set a new precedent for what is possible in authentic relationships, and generate radical transformation, personal growth and mindfulness.
What is it like?
A Circle always starts by a group of people or a single facilitator putting their curious & open attention on you. Rather than “helping”, “fixing” or “solving” any particular problem, the intention is simply to connect with you and discover what’s it like being you through sharing their moment-by-moment experience and inquiring about yours. As the circle progresses, you may see things about yourself that you’ve never seen. You may feel emotions that have been stuck, buried or numbed. You may find yourself sharing things you were hiding and dissolving feelings of unworthiness and shame. You may find yourself expressing your desires and gaining the courage and freedom that comes from speaking your truth. By relating in the present moment – beyond stories, expectations and predetermined ideas about who you are – circling has the capacity to reveal your true essence and cultivate deep connections. As everyone engages with genuine curiosity and shares their personal experience of being with you, you discover that who you ARE is more magnificent than any limited idea about who you “should” be. Because of this, circling is often deeply nourishing and can lead to new personal insights and awakenings.
