The Players

Adam Swaab was born in Detroit, Michigan, where a steady diet of Faygo cola and crossover Canadian music led him (naturally) into the world of design and visual effects. He studied filmmaking and painting at Rhode Island School of Design, then accidentally entered the world of computer animation and motion graphics. He has worked at a bunch of big places as a CG Sup/VFX lead (Blur, Prologue, Wolf & Crow), but now prefers to spend his time trying to capture Instagram gold. https://www.instagram.com/aswaab

Tim Van Helsdingen is a freelance CG generalist / Houdini FX artist based in the Netherlands who does a wide range of work for clients from all around the world. He also creates a lot of educational content about Houdini and CG in general for his youtube channel https://bit.ly/2OJX0rm with multiple uploads a week, patiently waiting for the day he finally hit's 69420 subs.

Caskal is the creative alias for Argentinian designer Ezequiel Grand. Starting out as a Graphic Designer, he started working on branding, then switched to web design, animation, 3D, simulations, and VFX. He works with a range of tools including SideFX Houdini, Cinema 4D, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, MoI3D, Substance Painter, Octane and Redshift. Freek Hoekstra (Pronounced Frake) is a Senior Technical Artist at applied intuition, working on Autonomous vehicle simulation, Freek specializes in procedural environment generation, and has worked at Apple, Electronic Arts and at SideFX. Originally from the Netherlands, Freek has recently lived in Canada and the United States and is also a co-organizer of the Vancouver Houdini user group. Freek is currently hiring! The Commentators

Remi Pierre is a French Houdini Pipeline TD at Digital Domain Vancouver, currently focusing on CFX. He has previously worked as an FX artist/pipeline TD in VFX studios, Method studios, Image Engine, MPC and BUF.

Justin Dykhouse is a Houdini Generalist at VR powerhouse MAGNOPUS in Los Angeles. Previous clients include Production Club, Lionsgate, Dimension Films and more. He is proud to co-organize the Los Angeles Houdini User Group (LA-HUG) Meetup.

Debra Isaac is a creative director, Houdini artist, and founder of Houdini.School (launching this summer). She loves community building and co-organizes The Los Angeles Houdini User group (LAHUG). She currently teaches Houdini at Drexel University. She is passionate about scientific visualization, motion graphics, and emerging technologies. Her clients have included Intel, Mattel, Hasbro, and The UCLA Art|Sci Center.
