Everyone- Please try to arrive ~10:30AM or earlier to the park. This will give you enough time to make it though gate, find our location, and take care of your bathroom needs before we organize shuttles to the beginning of the hike.

This Hike: We are doing the LSHT trail portion between Bath Rd and LSHT trailhead parking #7, ~8.6mi. After carpooling from Huntsville State Park, this will be a one way hike back to to the state park from the LSHT intersection with Bath Rd. See below for car shuttle details. Gathering Place & Car Shuttle Plan: Once you pay your entrance fee and enter the park, the main park road will fork. Take the right side fork and drive it till the end at the main visitor parking near the CCC lodge and the lake. We should be obvious in the parking lot or near the restrooms. One we are all gathered, then we will carpool into the fewest cars possible and drive over to the start of the hike at Bath Rd. We take the following driving route:

At the end of the hike, drivers will be carpooled to the start point to pick up their cars.

Optional After Hike Event : At one of the picnic areas near the parking lot we'll get a charcoal grill going. So bring your own drinks and grill item if you want to join in. Talk to your carpool about about a common cooler or food resources.
