There is a growing consensus that recent developments in deep learning for language related tasks have moved natural language processing (NLP) into a new era.

Roy will give an overview of the recent advancements in NLP-related deep learning and try to make sense of the jumble of Sesame Street inspired architecture names, underlying algorithmic advances, and implications for practical applications and possible risks.
