What we're about

This goal of this Meetup group is to create a community of meditators within Houston. Our meetups are often led by Kadampa Meditation Center Houston Resident Teacher, Western Buddhist monk Gen Wangpo.

In the meetups we practice meditation and listen to practical teachings on Buddhist principles, so that individually and together we learn to find happiness, greater peace, and transform life's challenges into spiritual growth.

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED: https://meditationinhouston.org/class-live-streaming/#Monday This class can be viewed for 3 DAYS after the scheduled class time! Unless you’re already an enlightened being, you have at least one or two relationships in your life that could be a little better. Maybe it’s a relationship with a family member, significant other, or ex. Maybe it’s a relationship at work. Wherever difficult relationships occur in our life, stress, irritation, unhappiness, and disappointment are quick to follow. During this series, we’ll explore what happens to make a relationship go sour and how to improve it. While we may never be able to change the other person, we can certainly change our own mind, leading us to a greater peace within that challenging relationship.
