A great opportunity to learn how to meditate and to integrate a meditation practice into your daily life. These classes are currently based on the book How to Transform Your Life (http://kadampa.org/books/how-to-transform-your-life) by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso (http://meditationinhouston.org/geshe-kelsang-gyatso/) Our Resident Teacher: Gen Kelsang Norden is a senior ordained teacher of Modern Buddhism. She was requested by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche to teach at Kadampa Meditation Center in Houston. Ordained as a Buddhist nun in 1994, Gen Norden has been teaching Buddhism and meditation in the US and the UK for over 20 years. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to enjoy the precious dharma of Modern Buddhism with such an experienced practitioner.

What we're about

This goal of this Meetup group is to create a community of meditators within Houston. Our meetups are often led by Kadampa Meditation Center Houston Resident Teacher, Western Buddhist nun Gen Norden.

In the meetups we practice meditation and listen to practical teachings on Buddhist principles, so that individually and together we learn to find happiness, greater peace, and transform life's challenges into spiritual growth.
