FREE EVENT: In its "Cosmic Explorations (http://www.lpi.usra.edu/education/cosmic-explorations/)" lecture series of the[masked] season, the Lunar and Planetary Institute (http://www.lpi.usra.edu/) is focusing on the theme "Mercury to Mars: LPI Explores the Solar System," in which LPI scientists will discuss their research and how their work supports NASA's solar system science and exploration efforts.
In the final lecture of the season, staff scientist Dr. Stephen M. Clifford (http://www.lpi.usra.edu/science/staff/clifford/), who studies the nature and evolution of planetary volatiles, will give a talk called "The Evolution of Water on Mars (http://www.lpi.usra.edu/education/cosmic-explorations/2017-06-01/clifford.pdf)."
The Cosmic Explorations presentations begin at 7:30 p.m. and are followed by a light reception with the opportunity to meet the speaker. The Cosmic Explorations Speaker Series is free; all adults are welcome.
